Why would the FDA let claims that have been undermined by fraud appear on drug labels?

Agents of the Food and Drug Administration know better than anyone else just how bad scientific misbehavior can get. Reading the FDA’s inspection files feels almost like watching a highlights reel from a Scientists Gone Wild video. It’s a seemingly endless stream of lurid vignettes—each of which catches a medical researcher in an unguarded moment, succumbing to the temptation to do things he knows he really shouldn’t be doing. Faked X-ray reports. Forged retinal scans. Phony lab tests. Secretly amputated limbs. All done in the name of science when researchers thought that nobody was watching.

That misconduct happens isn’t shocking. What is: When the FDA finds scientific fraud or misconduct, the agency doesn’t notify the public, the medical establishment, or even the scientific community that the results of a medical experiment are not to be trusted. On the contrary. For more than a decade, the FDA has shown a pattern of burying the details of misconduct. As a result, nobody ever finds out which data is bogus, which experiments are tainted, and which drugs might be on the market under false pretenses. The FDA has repeatedly hidden evidence of scientific fraud not just from the public, but also from its most trusted scientific advisers, even as they were deciding whether or not a new drug should be allowed on the market. Even a congressional panel investigating a case of fraud regarding a dangerous drug couldn’t get forthright answers. For an agency devoted to protecting the public from bogus medical science, the FDA seems to be spending an awful lot of effort protecting the perpetrators of bogus science from the public.

Much of my research has to do with follies, foibles, and fraud in science, and I knew that the FDA wasn’t exactly bending over backward to correct the scientific record when its inspectors found problems during clinical trials. So as part of my investigative reporting class at New York University, my students and I set out to find out just how bad the problem was—and how much important information the FDA was keeping under wraps.

The silence is unbroken even when the FDA itself seems shocked at the degree of fraud and misconduct.

If it doesn’t work, stop doing it!

This includes supporting non-profit organizations that have failed to achieve their goals . . .  for decades!

The American Heart Association (AHA) has been around since 1924. They claim they have done research that has saved millions of lives. This is a questionable claim however as they are now promoting ideas that are sacrificing millions of lives. This falsehood has even been incorporated into most cardiac rehabilitation programs across the country.

The American Cancer Society (ACS) has been around since 1913 and according to leading cancer expert, Dr. Samuel S. Epstein, cancer rates have increased dramatically while the organization continues to promote radiating breasts with mammograms and sickening patients with toxic unsuccessful chemotherapy. The National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) was established in 1982. Their stated goals were to improve the safety of vaccines and secure informed consent protections in the United States. Neither goal has been achieved after 35 years of effort. In fact, in 2017 there are more dangerous vaccines being inflicted on the unsuspecting and uninformed population than ever before and drug stores are now vaccinating an unwary public while intentionally withholding information about vaccine side effects and adverse reactions – information they readily have at their finger tips.

Do these three failures have anything in common? Are non-profits neglecting to target the real culprit? Are they serving the purpose of controlled opposition?

The answer is YES to all three questions!

Re-framing the Vaccine Debate

We did not successfully nullify the herd immunity myth nor discredit the corrupt CDC; we did not stop the move to eliminate all vaccine exemptions; and we were unable to prevent folks from  being coerced into accepting vaccines to keep their jobs.

The drug industry, their partners in so-called government and the media currently control the debate regarding vaccine efficacy and safety. This is why the vaccine zealot (bullshitter*) Paul Offit is always invited to be the pro-vaccine spokesman and restrict the vaccine debate. So far, those who know that vaccines are neither safe NOR effective have been unwilling and/or unable to re-frame this debate – with some admirable exceptions. This stalemate has been ongoing for decades. In fact according to reports coming in, physicians are now being threatened with the loss of the licenses if they speak against vaccines. The intention is to remove knowledgeable physicians from the debate completely.

This has happened before. Dentists who exposed the truth regarding mercury (amalgam) fillings were harassed if they mentioned the word “mercury” in public. Scientists who tried to expose water fluoridation (like Dr. Yiamouyiannis) were fired and defamed. And research funding is unavailable to scientists who wish to study and report on the toxicity of Roundup. The fact is that the entire chemical industry has enjoyed nearly a century of unimpeded malignant growth. Both physicians and dentists are taught very little toxicology in school, by design. The reason goes all the way back to Rockefeller’s establishment of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). None of the so-called government agencies protect the public from the chemical/pharmaceutical industries. They were never meant to. We all have an inalienable right – and obligation – to refuse to be poisoned. The vaccination debate is not about religion, as attorney Alan Phillips falsely touts. Keeping the debate about religious conviction (or choice) sets up a battle between parents who unwittingly permit their children to be poisoned and those that are smart enough to say no. The battle really is about our ability to refuse to be injected with toxic substances. Unless we find the courage to re-frame the debate exposing the truth, we will lose and will all be facing lives of poor health and premature death. Harvard Scientists Warn about Epidemic of Side Effects Due to Corruption

A recent study about institutional corruption of pharmaceuticals and the myth of safe and effective drugs, warns that over the past 35 years, patients have suffered from a largely hidden epidemic of side effects from drugs that usually have few, offsetting benefits.

The study, published in the Journal of Law, Medicine and Ethics,* conducted by Light, Lexchin and Darrow, warns that the pharmaceutical industry has corrupted the practice of medicine through its influence over what drugs are developed, how they are tested, and how medical knowledge is created.

The researchers warn that since 1906, commercial influence has compromised Congressional legislation to protect the public from unsafe drugs, adding that the authorization of user fees in 1992 has turned drug companies into the FDA’s prime clients, deepening the regulatory and cultural capture of the agency.

Part of the regulatory and cultural capture of the FDA has enabled the industry to successfully demand shorter average review times. Less time to thoroughly review the evidence, warn the researchers, has led to increased hospitalization and death.

The researchers warn that meeting the needs of the drug companies has taken priority over meeting the needs of the patients, adding that unless this corruption of regulatory intent is reversed, the situation will continue to deteriorate.

Light, Lexchin and Darrow offer practical suggestions, including; separating the funding of clinical trials from their conduct, analysis, and publication; independent FDA leadership; full public funding for all FDA activities; measures to discourage research and development on drugs with few if any clinical benefits; and the creation of a National Drug Safety Board.

The medical cartel: too big to fail, too evil to expose

There are several reasons why the medical cartel is too big to fail: the enormous amount of money at stake; its aim to control populations.

In this article, I want to examine a related reason.

Suppose it was discovered that thousands of bridges around the US were in imminent danger of collapsing? Not because maintenance and repair were lacking, not because the materials used to build them were cheap and shoddy. But because the original designs were inadequate and broke basic rules of engineering.

Suppose five or six major manufacturers built their automobiles so the vast majority of power derived from the engines was transferred to one wheel?

Suppose the US Dept. of Agriculture recommended that all farmers spray their crops with heavy chlorine instead of water?

In other words, the science itself is fraudulent.
