paris climat 2015The scientists say that while the science refutes the UN’s claim that man-made carbon emissions are to blame for global warming, they claim that the UN is pressing ahead with its sinister ‘climate regime’ agenda, which includes: destroying industrial civilization, propping up kleptocrats with Western tax funds, and seizing control of the global economy under the guise of regulating the immensely beneficial “gas of life,” also known as carbon dioxide. reports:

Dubbed “Day of Examining the Data,” the conference featured numerous presentations, each one debunking multiple elements of the increasingly discredited anthropogenic (man-made) global-warming theory (AGW). From explaining the myriad benefits of carbon dioxide to the environment and mankind to highlighting the ongoing 19-year pause in warming, no intellectually honest attendee could have left the summit still believing the “climate” hysteria pushed by various governments and international outfits. Indeed, practically every fear-mongering narrative pushed at the nearby UN climate summit was mercilessly debunked with facts, data, logic, and common sense. Later in the day, the film Climate Hustle brutally exposing the climate alarmism premiered at a nearby cinema in Paris, earning nothing but profuse praise from attendees.

Among the scientists speaking at the realist summit were Dr. Robert Carter, former chief of the School of Earth Sciences at James Cook University. “Global warming is not happening,” he explained, even noting that long-term cooling was predicted. Carter’s presentation was especially fascinating because it totally shredded the outlandish notion that CO2 — exhaled by humans and critical to life — is “carbon pollution” in need of regulation. In fact, he said, even at current atmospheric concentrations, the Earth and the plants it supports are “starving” for more CO2. And in the past, CO2 concentrations were some 10 to 15 times higher. “Attempting to stop climate change is an exercise in utter futility,” he added, noting in an interview with The New American that nobody would seriously consider trying to “stop” earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.

Also speaking at the summit was Dr. Willie Soon, an astrophysicist and geoscientist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), he explained, “is totally anti-science, and is harming science.” Emphasizing the massive role played by the sun in the Earth’s incomprehensibly complex climate system, Soon narrowed in on one particular claim in the IPCC report on the issue that he said made a complete mockery of science. “The IPCC is pure gangster science,” he explained. Speaking to The New American after his presentation, Soon said the vicious attacks against his character and family by global-warming alarmists had only motivated him to work harder. Rather than launching personal attacks, he said, critics should instead focus on the data and his conclusions published in the peer-reviewed literature.

Another top scientist at the summit was University of Virginia Professor Emeritus Dr. Fred Singer, founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP) and the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change. “There has been no statistically significant warming in 18 years,” he told the summit, showing a slide comparing observed temperatures with the various bogus predictions made by “climate models” relied upon by the UN, all of which predicted warming as CO2 increased. “The models don’t work. We should not use them to make policy.” He also noted that carbon dioxide — “the original plant food,” as he called it — is very valuable. “Plants are starving. They want more CO2,” Singer added.

Essentially, the internationally respected scientist continued, the climate has always changed due to natural forces — warming, cooling, and so on — from the beginning. And so, that means the obvious hypothesis that natural forces are still driving climate change, as they always have, must be shown to be false by proponents of the man-made climate change propaganda. In other words, the burden to show that the recent minor changes are attributable to mankind is on the alarmists who want to empower the UN, control CO2, and redistribute wealth. So far, though, the alarmists have failed, and they have a tough job ahead, Singer said.

“This is about money and power,” Singer told The New American in an interview, adding that governments had purchased the cooperation of many scientists on climate alarmism. “Science plays a small role, and mostly it’s being misused.” “It’s a matter of really trying to control things,” Singer said, noting that control of CO2 means control of economies and ultimately, people. What is being plotted right now at the nearby UN COP21 summit, he added, is a “direct subsidy to kleptocracies,” which are pocketing the climate loot and hiding it in their bank accounts. “It’s a matter of the poor in rich countries supporting the rich in the poor countries,” Singer concluded.

Also speaking at the summit was Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore, who gave a presentation thoroughly debunking the myth of “ocean acidification.” In the real world, he said, there is “no conceivable scenario” in which the world’s oceans would become acidic. “It is a complete fabrication with no basis in reality,” he said. In fact, CO2 does wonders for marine life, Dr. Moore showed, noting that the most productive area of the ocean, the Humboldt Current, is also the most “acidic.” “CO2 is fertilizing the oceans just like it is greening the Earth,” he said. In an interview with The New American after his presentation, Moore also identified the real agenda behind the UN climate summit: bringing down industrial civilization. If successful, he said, the lives of countless human beings will be lost as a result.

Dr. Christopher Essex, associated chair in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Western Ontario, also spoke at the summit, taking on various myths about the “climate” that are being peddled by politicians and “journalists” who he said have no clue what they are talking about. Trying to explain the unfathomably complex nature of the climate system, Essex said the whole “climate” conversation was absurd. One of his slides comically noted, “Over 95 percent of the models agree: The observations must be wrong.” Essex built his first climate model in the 1970s, and in an interview with The New American said that humanity still has a lot to learn about the climate system and that much more research is needed.

After the scientists gave their presentations, a panel discussion highlighted the massive damage being done — especially to the poor — by so called “climate” policies. Among those speaking was Lord Christopher Monckton, a giant in the climate realist movement. Climate alarmists have “the money, power, and glory, but we have the truth, so they have nothing, and we have everything.” If the UN summit succeeds in its goals, though, millions of people will die, he said. In an interview later with The New American, Monckton said the real agenda was to create a communist-fascist-style global government that would end self-government, prosperity, the middle class, and liberty. Another expert who spoke on the panel, Dr. Wolfgang Mueller with the European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE), also explained that what the developing world needs is not “climate reparations” or CO2 controls, but affordable energy.

Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, appeared at the summit via video link to provide encouragement to the realists. Noting that Americans are catching on to the climate-alarmism hoax, Senator Inhofe vowed that Congress and the American people would scuttle any pseudo-treaties negotiated by the Obama administration that may come out of the UN summit. “We already rejected [Obama’s] power plan, that’s done,” he said, speaking of Congress rejecting the centerpiece of what Inhofe called the administration’s “climate charade.” “You guys, here in this room, as you always have, just keep it up. Our progress would not have happened without you. You’re doing the Lord’s work, and we’re going to win this thing together.”

The summit was hosted by the Heartland Institute, the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), and the Competitive Enterprise Institute. So far, despite the fact that thousands of “journalists” are in Paris covering the UN summit, virtually nothing has been reported by the press about the prestigious scientists and their conference. Also blacked out of the media has been the NIPCC report, in which scientists examined the peer-reviewed science and came to dramatically different conclusions from the UN IPCC. Heartland speakers noted that they often invite alarmist scientists to debate realists, but instead, the alarmist movement prefers to pretend that the “science is settled” rather than address the major holes in their theory. And at the latest summit, that was about as evident as it could be. Still, virtually everybody at the conference expressed hope that, eventually, truth and facts would prevail.

  3. Addendum to my previous comment: The focus on fossil fuels is colossal foolishness. We need them, and will for the foreseeable future. There will be no agreement to reduce their use other than a tiny bit, and that won’t do the slightest bit of good, anyway. If land managers and state and regional governments the world over understood the insights of Alan Savory, and utilized them for land use planning, improving farming techniques and management of national parks, it would not only entirely mitigate climate change, but would restore land to health, normalize rainfall, restore watercourses, and produce an abundance of food. The Savory Institute is the solution to climate change, not bureaucrats and politicians.

    • The only thing that will mitigate “climate change” is if/when the military stops engaging in Weather Warfare on behalf of the criminals who control what is called the United States government.

      • It is a terrible mistake to ignore the role that degradation of soils worldwide has played in altering climate and damaging human health. Yes, governments, who largely serve commercial interests, are doing their best to screw things up, but this pales beside the role of soil degradation and concomitant watershed destruction and groundwater depletion combined with the weather altering effects of heat islands (paved over megacities) in terms of the damage it has done. We don’t even direct roof-runoff from those rare rains, in this parched land in which I live, toward soil, but toward the street! After which it must be treated before being sent to recharge basins. If you focus solely on “Weather Warfare,” you will fail to see the larger picture, which is far too complex for any of us to begin to understand without a great deal of study and a great deal of thinking. A bit of humility, please.

        • Those establishing policies define climate change as being caused by carbon dioxide pollution, which is bogus science. They actually tried to sell corn ethanol as a solution. Mass corn ethanol production only serves to deplete the soil. It is a lousy fuel.

Implementing rules to reduce (and tax) carbon dioxide will do nothing to solve any of the problems we face.

Until they stop waging weather warfare none of us know what the natural climate is anymore.

          • Absolutely. It is simply incorrect to identify CO2 as a pollutant, or as playing a causal role in climate change, while promoting glyphosate worldwide! Corn ethanol is one of the stupidest things Congress has ever done, highly destructive to soil and water and marine life in the Gulf-now even marginal is planted to corn for this very purpose. And it requires more input than it produces. Only subsidized commodity agriculture and a corrupt political class could support this folly. In the early days of the automobile, many ran their cars on alcohol, mainly produced from excess orchard fruit, particularly apples. Then, of course, about half of Americans still lived on farms. But today, no longer. Using fossil fuel is essential to life on Earth. Its extraction is damaging to the environment, but so are all extractive industries. Science today has been so thoroughly corrupted by those same commercial forces that most of it cannot be trusted; those scientists who come up with inconvenient findings are simply destroyed. Only in those areas where there is little potential for money to be made is good science being routinely done.

  4. While it is clear that our climate is changing, particularly in the northern hemisphere: the polar ice cap and Greenland ice sheet shrinking, land and sea animals expanding their ranges to the north, the IGCC has gotten it terribly wrong. We do have historically high levels of CO2 in the atmosphere, but only about half of that has come from the burning of fossil fuels. The rest is soil carbon, which humans have released through agricultural practices since the dawn of agriculture, rendering fertile land infertile and creating both droughts and deserts along the way. In any case, the elephant in the room is water vapor, the real driver of the changes we are seeing, including perturbations in storm activity. The excess water vapor in the atmosphere has come from this same mismanagement of the land, along with the enormous amount of land we’ve paved over to build megacities, airports, etc., creating rain deserts, diminishing local rainfall, and drying out the soil. The IGCC suffers, as we all do, from “confirmation bias,” that is, the all too human tendency to believe evidence that confirms our preexisting notions, and discount evidence that challenges those “beliefs.” Foolishness, this annual get-together, although it must be a pleasant opportunity to eat good food and mingle with old friends. There are three excellent books which make a convincing case for my above remarks: “Cows Save the Planet,” “Grass, Soil, Hope,” and “Water for the Recovery of the Climate: A New Water Paradigm.”

    • This is all bought and paid for bogus science. Dr. David Lewis wrote a great book called Science for Sale, I recommend you read it.

There is indeed man-made climate change, but it has nothing to do with carbon dioxide and would more accurately be called Weather Warfare.

People have know about this FACT for many years.

      • Dr. Lewis’ book indeed has an honored place on my shelf. Science, like governments the world over, has truly been corrupted by dogma and status-seeking (academia), but mainly by the allure of money. You are correct that atmospheric CO2 has a negligible effect on man-made climate change. Carbon is a cycle; all life-forms are carbon-based, and when I hear terms such as “post-carbon” I cringe. Opinion shapers speak nonsense like this. The spraying of nano-particles in the atmosphere is creepy, and very dangerous. It is easy to spot these chem-trails nearly any day of the year. But I think you give the military too much credit for competence. There indeed are some very bright and capable people at NASA, at DARPA, and among serving field officers, but it is political decisions which drive the policies they carry out, and politicians are generally not very bright, knowledgeable, or competent. In any case, nature is truly in charge; we are but a feeble blot on her majesty.
